1st Issue "George" Magazine Signed by John F. Kennedy Jr. and Cindy Crawford. John F. Kennedy Jr. was a lawyer, an assistant district attorney for New York City for four years, a journalist, and a magazine publisher. He launched "George" magazine in October of 1995 with Michael Berman as a glossy politics and lifestyle magazine. Offered here is the inaugural issue which generated immense publicity in its day, a 280-page edition rivalling the best in the marketplace in targeting an a 18-34 upscale demographic. The cover with Cindy Crawford, tame by today standards, did receive criticism, but the play on George Washington achieved what it set out to do: generate publicity. In July of 1999, Kennedy and his wife died in a plane he was piloting when it crashed on their way to a family wedding. The magazine folded in early 2001. Both JFK Jr. and Cindy Crawford have boldly signed the cover in black and blue felt tip pens. The magazine itself is in fine condition, with only minor evidence of wear at very bottom of the spine. Estimated Value $200 - 250

Realized $288
