70 Signed Covers by Politicians, Congress & Cabinet Members during Calvin Coolidge's Presidency Including 48 Governors. An incredible collection of politicians' signatures from a period of Calvin Coolidge's Presidency (1927-1928) including Vice President Charles Dawes, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for The Dawes Plan, for reparations after WWI; Herbert Hoover as Secretary of Commerce; Andrew Mellon as Secretary of the Treasury; and 5 other cabinet members. Also included are 9 Congressional or Senatorial representatives. But the most ambitious undertaking is the collection of covers individually signed by 48 Governors, virtually all obtained in 1928, with a few in 1927, beginning with Alfred E. Smith of New York.
