Collection of 9 Historic Signed Covers: Past Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, and Counsellors. Collection of signed commemorative covers from ca. 1930 celebrating inaugural airmail routes. Included are signed covers by: Presidents Herbert Hoover and William H. Taft (as past President); Supreme Court Justices Oliver Wendell Holmes (signed as Associate Justice), Benjamin Cardozo (signed as Associate Justice just after Holmes) and Charles E. Hughes (signed as Chief Justice); Legendary Consellors William Jennings Bryan and Clarence Darrow, signed 3 and 5 years after their highly publicized Scopes Trial, Andrew J. Volstead, the Congressman who championed The National Prohibition Act to become known as The Volstead Act, and finally Judge Ben Lindsay, who established the Juvenile Court System, a leader in abolishing child labor.
