Roman Token/Seal circa 300 B.C. - 300 A.D. Pottery-Eagle seal, as proof of the receipt of a shipment of goods from the East such as silk from China. Seal recovered from an Old Roman city in Italy. Seal measures 8 mm. in diameter and ¾ mm. in thickness. Seal has a chip in lower left edge otherwise fine. Comes with wood and glass presentation case that measures 8" x 5½" x 2½", two minor dings at top of frame. Estimated Value $300 - 500
