English statesman, soldier, and author; inspirational Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II and again from 1951-55; winner of the 1953 Nobel Prize in Literature. Signed photo ("Winston S. Churchill"), black & white, 6½ x 5", taken by esteemed photographer Cecil Beaton. Churchill has signed his name in brown ink in top right of image.
