Meissen Blanc de Chine Figure, German. Blanc de Chine is an enormously popular porcelain that first made at Dehua in the Fujian province, otherwise known as Dehua porcelain. Acclaimed German porcelain manufacturer, Meissen, began copying the syle of the porcelain in the 1800s. Offered is such a piece of a Chinese tailor, threading a needle sitting cross legged and overlapping the base. Superb detail to fingers and facial expression. 7¾ x 6½ x 6½" and sits on a Chinese wood base. Mint condition no breaks or repairs including the delicate hands. Struck, with crossed swords in underglaze blue and further impressed crossed swords, and incised R.2.87. Estimated Value $400 - 600
