Reagan, Ronald and Soviet Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev. Color photograph, 10 x 8", taken at the Brandenburg Gate of the Berlin Wall on June 12, 1987. Photo features President Reagan, West German President Richard Von Weizacker, Chancellor Helmut Kohl,West Berlin Mayor Eberhard Deipgen, and other guests. Photo has been signed "Mr. Gorbachev Tear Down This Wall! Ronald Reagan" in black felt tip pen at bottom center right. It should be noted that this is a rare signed photo, because it includes the signature of Soviet Secretary Gorbachev, signed in black felt tip pen at the lower left, though he is not pictured in the photo. It was during this speech that President Reagan the his historic demand he has inscribed.
