Lot 371

Two American Girandole Centerpieces ca. 1860s. A pair of complimentary cast bronze and gilt figural centerpieces from the middle 19th Century. The candelabras, one depicting a mother and child under a large tree filling a water jug from a spring, the other a woman offering a gratuity to a sleeping beggar as his dog watches, sit on marble bases. Both are resplendent each in 24 - 6½" crystal lusters which adds immeasurably to their appeal. No need for these pieces to be in a formal setting. These candelabras have proved immensely popular in even the most eclectic of decors and prove quite striking. One prism has been replaced with a 4" replacement, otherwise a fantastic pair, and while not matching, offer more appeal as complimentary pieces. 17 x 15 x 6" Very Fine Note prisms and candleabras will be boxed separately for safe shipping. Estimated Value $300 - 500

Realized $360
