Nixon, Richard M (1913-1994). 37th President of the United States, 36th Vice President of the United States under Dwight D. Eisenhower, and presidential candidate for the Republican Party in 1960 narrowly losing to John F. Kennedy. Typed oath of office signed ("Richard Nixon") with holograph inscription, one page, on White House stationery, 9 x 7", Washington, D.C., January 20, 1973. In fine condition.

In full: "I, Richard Nixon, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God." The inscription below reads, "To Bruce Meredith / With best wishes / Richard Nixon". An ironically collectible item, considering the scandal that has come to typify the Nixon administration. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500
