American cartoonist best known for the comic strip Peanuts, which featured such iconic characters as the admirably determined Charlie Brown, bossy Lucy van Pelt, and Charlie's intelligent pet Beagle, Snoopy, Schulz is widely regarded as one of the most influential cartoonists of all time. Camera stat signed ("Charles M. Schulz") and inscribed ("Best wishes"), in black sharpie, n.p., n.d. Schulz's clean, bold signature, rendered later in the life of the esteemed cartoonist, graces the title panel of a comic strip in which Lucy and Linus debate the probable realities behind the classic fairytale,"The Frog Prince".
