Kennedy, John F (1917-1963). 35th President of the United States (1961-1963). LIFE magazine signed and inscribed as President ("Best wishes John Kennedy") on the cover, being the January 27, 1961 issue featuring JFK's inauguration. The signature and inscription are light, in the lower red border, but quite legible. The full magazine is present, with minor evidence of wear and handling, and with numerous photos from the inauguration, including President Eisenhower getting ready to leave the White House for the last time and walking with JFK to the ceremonies. The text of the inaugural speech is also present. This inscription and signature have been thoroughly evaluated.
