Alfred Hitchcock Self-Caricature and Signature - Hitchcock by Francois Truffaut. One of the greatest French directors, Francois Truffaut interviewed one of the greatest British-American directors in film history, Alfred Hitchcock, in one of the most celebrated interviews on film and filmmaking ever recorded and published. The interview, with the collaboration of Helen Scott was published in France in 1966, the English translation following in 1967, Hitchcock by Francois Truffaut. Offered is a 4th paperback printing that boasts Hitchcock's famous self-caricature and signature rendered boldly in black felt tip pen above his name on the title page. A welcome surprise is the autograph of Janet Leigh, star of director Hitchcock's most popular film in the 1960s, PSYCHO, signed vertically at bottom of title page. Paperback shows minor evidence of wear and three pages were not trimmed properly during printing, otherwise fine.
