Monroe, Marilyn and Arthur Miller Autographed Tribute Program. Monroe (1926 - 1962) Miller (1915 -2005) In September of 1959, at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia, The American Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem hosted a dinner-reception honoring the great Arthur Miller for "Distinguished Achievement in the Dramatic Arts". He attended with his wife, Marilyn Monroe, in what proved to be quite the media event. By all measure the couple proved winning and accessible. Offered here is the evening's program boasting both their signatures. Monroe inscribed quite boldly "To Jerry and Marsha Marilyn Monroe" in blue ball point and Miller has signed just above his name in the program in teal blue fountain pen ink. Program measures 9½ x 7" with only the slightest coffee or tea stain to far left edge of the front cover but in no way impacts either signature. It is a true find for collectors to have both artists' signatures on the same piece by one of the most celebrated, photographen and written about couples of the late 1950s, or for that matter the 20th Century.
Signatures are excellent with special note of Monroe's boldly signed with such flair. Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,000
