(1860) Washington's Headquarters Medal. Baker-192A-#9, Second Obverse, Dobbs Fer. NGC graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Bronze, 28 mm. A nice gem example of the George H. Lovett's Headquarters Series. These medals were struck in the 1860's with three obverse dies matching up with different reverse designs, each featuring a headquarter of George Washington during the Revolution War. This presented piece bears the reverse depicting the headquarter near Dobbs Ferry, New York. A nice flawless example with plenty mint luster remaining as well as semi-prooflike surfaces.
