Lot 1650

1907 $20 St. Gaudens. Flat Relief PCGS MS66. PCGS graded MS-66. Lovely rich golden toning. This is the first style released after the High Relief designs, with not nearly the incredible three dimensional devices, but a far more practicle and useful example of a coin that could be mass produced for circulation. Rarely are these 1907 double eagles found so well preserved, and a date which is quite difficult to obtain any finer. Pop 383; 35 finer (PCGS # 9141) Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000

Ex. US Gold from a prominent midwestern family collection.

Realized $14,100
