1798 S-148 R2 Large 8, Style I Hair VG8. Sharpness F12 but the edge has been carefully and evenly smoothed, apparently to remove a few rim nicks. Otherwise the planchet is smooth, the eye appeal is excellent, and the only marks are remnants of a rim nick left of the fraction and a couple dull nicks right of the D in UNITED. EDS, Breen state II, with a couple faint die cracks on the obverse. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown and steel. The date and legends are all strong. Estimated Value $200-UP
