Lot 160

1797 NC-2 R6 G4. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown and olive. The surfaces are decent but there is some minor roughness in the fields and protected areas, mostly behind the portrait. No verdigris, and the notable marks are a light rim bruise over the E in UNITED, a diagonal nick on the right side of the N in ONE, and a small chip or pit well above that N. The date is bold and the legends are easily readable (although a few letters are weak). E-MDS, Breen state II, with a rim cud in the dentils at D-ST. Nice for the grade in spite of the minor imperfections. Estimated Value $600-UP

Realized $793
