Picasso, Pablo. Signature ("Picasso"). One page, 5 x 1¼", n.p., n.d. On the June 26, 1950 edition of Time Magazine. In blue and red crayon. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Christophe Stickel Autographs. The lower right corner which Picasso has signed has been tipped onto a complete edition of the magazine, and adhesive from mailing label remains at lower left corner. Signature is clear and bold.
Just subsequent to the birth of his daughter Paloma, this edition of Time Magazine features a five page article on Picasso, including several color images of his works, a photograph of his children, and an update on such contemporaries as Chagall, Léger, Braques, Derain, and de Vlaminck. On the cover, Picasso's "Remembrances toasted on grills on blue" has been reproduced.
