[Spoons]. Group of Scandanavian Commemorative Silver Spoons. Lot of 9 pieces. An attractive lot with a number of spoons in a larger, soup (or small ladle) size with several demi-tasse spoons. Most are Norwegian showing a variety of motifs. One spoon features a handle with designs relating to the vivid Viking past, another outlines a detailed map of the country. A third spoon, from Bergen, is crafted of gilt with a finely enamelled handle that demonstrates the elegance for which Scandinavian design is noted -- clearly the most elaborate in the group. Most spoons are silver of varying fineness, and appear to be primarily of post-WW II make. A pleasing group.
