Vintage World War II Uncle Sam "I"m Counting On You! Don't Discuss:" Poster. Original WW II poster, "I'm Counting On You! Don't Discuss: Troop Movements / Ship Sailings / War Equipment", 28" x 20", linen backed, OWI Poster No. 78, U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-534057, by Leon Helguera. Poster features a large, bold illustration of Uncle Sam conveying silence by holding his finger over his lips. During WW II images of Uncle Sam were used to promote National Security, especially in plants that were producing war materials under government contracts. This poster was inspired by James Montgomery Flagg's 1917 "I Want You For The U.S. Army" poster. Rolled, unfolded. Very fine.
