Vintage World War II "Protect His Future" War Bond Poster. Original World War II poster "Protect His Future" and "Buy And Keep War Bonds", 28" x 20½", linen backed, Official U.S. Treasury Poster, U.S. Government Printing Office: 1944-O-626443, WFD 977-A, photograph and design by Ruth (Alexander) Nichols. Nichols was a photographer known for her abiding patience and skill which enabled her to work so closely with babies and children. Her approach to photographing these subjects, using ordinary children in many unposed and naturally-lighted scenes, was entirely unique. The poster presented here features a father's hands holding up a smiling, joyful child towards a brighter tomorrow. Rolled, unfolded. Very fine.
