Antique Victorian Yellow Gold Mourning Brooch/Pendant. Measuring approximately 2 ¼ x 2 inches in diameter, having a floral design with a center window for photo covered by a crystal that opens to reveal a compartment for another photo. The back compartment is ornamented with a floral motif made of hair and decorated with gold thread and threee tiny white beads also covered by a crystal, a tradition of mourning and keepsake of the time. Photo is of the back of the brooch, showing the horizontal pin and the floral creation, the front is empty of photo.
