Woody Guthrie Rare, Twice Signed Contract, 1950s. Document Signed, twice, partially printed, accomplished in autograph, 4 pp., 11 x 8½ in., New York, c. 1950's. Being an unexecuted songwriter's contract between Guthrie and People's Songs, Inc. assigning his unpublished original song entitled "Talking Dust Bowl Blues." On page 2 Guthrie has written his full name and address "Woody Guthrie / 3520 Mermaid Avenue, Brooklyn, 24, N.Y." On page 3 Guthrie has signed his name and added "100%" regarding his share of the proceeds from the song. Perhaps that is way the contract was never consummated? And on page 4, Guthrie, once again, has signed on the appointed line for song writer. Age toned. Four small staple holes on each page at top left corner. Overall in very good condition.
