Impressive Collection of Signatures by Famous Authors Including Bertolt Brecht, Eugene O'Neill, and Sinclair Lewis. Very nice collection of signatures from famous authors. A fragment of a Bertholt Brecht typed letter signed dated June 14, likely 1947, to the actor Charles Laughton regarding his appearance and compensation on Broadway in December of 1947 for the lead in Brecht's GALILEO. While the fragment is stained the typed "Yours Truly" signature by Bertholt Brecht and typed "Bertholt Brecht" are clean and could be easily matted down for framing given a very scarce signature. Fragment meaures 7" x 6" on onion skin paper. A typed letter signed on personal stationery at Thorvale Farm by Sinclair Lewis (signed "Red') dated 1948 to Meta Reis a literary agent that updates on his writing and goes on to mock the head of production for MGM at the time, Dory Schary. The letter has heavy toning and staining around borders where it was affixed in a scrapbook. From Eugene O'Neill a nicely signed calling card signed in black fountain pen and dated 1918, The rest of the collection are all signed cards in various sizes by such acclaimed writers as Thornton Wilder, Booth Tarkington, Gore Vidal, Erskine Caldwell, Alex Haley, Carrie Fisher and famous columnist, Walter Winchell.
