Official 1973 Presidential Inaugural Sterling Silver Commemorative Plate, Issued by The Inaugural Committee, bearing profile images of Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew, 8" in diameter, c. 1973. The plate weight is 14 oz. sterling; hallmarked and certified January 9, 1973; serial number 07686. Housed in its original navy leatherette, velvet lined, presentation box. The sculptured relief on the face of the plate was created by renowned American medallic sculptor Gilroy Roberts. This commission was the first official Presidential Inaugural plate in U. S. history.
