Collection of French Military Optical Equipment SOM Spyglass. SOM (Societe d'Optique et Mecanique de Haute Precision) Marine National Longue-Vue Model 1954 spyglass in excellent condition with only minor evidence of use. Non-telescoping and measuring 29" by 3", weighs just over 3 lbs. with brass lens shield and brass ocular adjustments. Comes with its original metal cask, cap affixed by leather straps weighing 7 lbs. for a total combined weight of around 10 lbs. A very nice piece.
