Lot 895

1914-D. PCGS graded MS-64+RB. Well struck with ample mint red visible that shows the usual moderate fading. One tiny obverse flyspeck near the mint mark. The mintage was 1,193,000 pieces and precious few were saved as most were spent long before this date became known as a rarity. The surfaces are pleasing and the strike is bold, right down to the peripheral lettering. Worthy of a strong bid as these never go begging with so many Lincoln cent collectors actively seeking specimens for their sets. Popular Key Date. Pop 5; 48 finer, 47 in 65, 1 in 65+ (PCGS # 2472) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000.

Realized $4,113
