Lot 261

1821 N-2 R1 VF25. Lightly whizzed and expertly retoned glossy medium chocolate brown. No roughness, and the only notable mark is a dull, shallow nick on the jaw. This cent looks choice to the unaided eye. MDS. The die line from the bust tip is gone but there is no crumbling in the dentils at stars 6-7. Stars 6-13 are strongly doubled, a result of die bounce.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
Ex Jack Beymer 12/1986-Colonel Steven Ellsworth 3/6/1999-John Koebert.

Realized $940
