1798 S-155 R3 Style I Hair, Reverse of 1796 VG8. Glossy olive brown and steel. Most likely recolored long ago. The surfaces are smooth except for a bit of minor roughness at the E in LIBERTY. The notable marks are a rim bruise under the 17 and three more on the reverse, strongest over the first S in STATES. The date is bold, the legends are complete, and the single leaves at the top of the wreath are clear. M-LDS, Breen state V, with several die cracks on the obverse.
