Lot 134

1795 S-78 R1 Plain Edge F12. Sharpness near VF25 but there are many tiny lamination chips in the planchet, especially on the reverse. A fine lamination runs across the bust and a planchet flake is located in the field before the nose. Traces of very fine roughness and verdigris are mixed in with the tiny planchet flaws. The only contact marks are a tiny rim nick over the R in LIBERTY and a barely visible rim bruise under the 17. Mostly glossy mix of shades of chocolate brown. MDS showing minor swelling in the field before the portrait.
Estimated Value $400-UP.
