Lot 1124

1882. PCGS graded Proof 67 Cameo. Mostly untoned and very choice with watery reflective fields that show no signs of handling or distracting lines. The toning consists of delicate tawny gold around the rims and scarcely into the fields. Sold Cameo contrst which is created by the depths of the mirror fields with the frosty devices seeming to float high above. A condition rarity that is surpassed by a mere 3 coins seen finer with the Cameo contrast. Important and of exceptional quality. Only 1,100 minted. Pop 8; 3 finer in 68 (PCGS # 87317) .
Estimated Value $14,000 - 15,000.
