Bronze Bread Stamp, ca. 5th-6th Century AD. An early Christian bronze bread stamp, slipper shaped with working bronze ring- handle; inscribed "ΣXT ", possibly for "ΣOTEP XPIΣTOΣ TON" =[Christ our Savior]. In choice condition. Measures: 6.5 X 2 cm.
