1805 C-3 R4 Small 5 with Stems VG10. Glossy dark chocolate brown with slightly lighter chocolate on the highpoints. The planchet appears to be perfectly smooth to the unaided eye, but a glass reveals extremely faint granularity well hidden under the glossy toning. Traces of verdigris can be found in protected areas. The only mark is a diagonal nick at the top of the C in CENT. The eye appeal of this piece is still very nice in spite of the imperfect surfaces. LDS Manley state 2.0. The swelling in the field before the portrait is strong. A decent example of the popular Small 5 with Stems type.
