A pair of 1877 $20 obverse die trials. Struck with canceled die in lead and tin in 1961. The consignor indicated that these trials were made with the original CC mint dies, and he personally participated in the party when they struck these trials. Also including a hand written note by the owner and a copy of Numismatic News regarding the discussion about the existence of Carson City canceled ties. Both items are in UNC details and well conserved since they were made in 1961. Very interesting numismatic items. Lot of 2 items.
