1803 C-3 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Lustrous light bluish steel and medium chocolate brown with a wisp of slightly darker chocolate brown toning in the field before the face. The surfaces are covered with satiny mint frost. The only notable mark is a mint-made planchet flake or void affecting the left side of the N in UNITED. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0. The die lines at the back of the head are strong and the leaves at the top of the wreath are softly impressed, as usual for this die state. Our grade is MS60. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label.
