Lot 35

1795 C-3 R5+ Punctuated Date, Plain Edge VG8. Sharpness F12 but covered with minor roughness, strongest on the obverse. No verdigris or marks and the eye appeal of this piece is nice in spite of the imperfect surfaces. Mostly glossy medium brown and light chocolate blending to darker chocolate in protected areas. The date is clear but the comma between the 1 and 7 is weak. The legends are strong. Rare EDS, Manley state 1.0, showing a clear HALF CENT except for weakness on the E in CENT. Weight 81.6 grains.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
Ex a New Netherlands Coin Co. sale in the mid-1950's.

Realized $1,880
