Macedonian Kingdom. Philip II. Silver Tetradrachm (14.30 g), 359-336 BC. Amphipolis, posthumously, ca. 318-317 BC. Laureate head of Zeus right. Reverse: ΦIΛIΠ-ΠOY, nude youth on horseback right, crowning horse with palm branch; below horse's belly, crescent; below raised foreleg, Π and pellet. Le Rider pl. 46, 10; SNG ANS 737. Some traces of luster still evident. Lightly toned. NGC grade XF; Strike: 5/5, Surface: 3/5.
