Lot 267

1823 N-2 R2 PCGS Genuine, XF Details, Tooled. Slightly glossy dark olive with lighter steel brown and chocolate toning on the devices. The surfaces are decent but not perfectly smooth and there are traces of verdigris caked into some of the protected areas. A strong glass reveals some extremely light hairline scratches on the cheek, in the field before the portrait, and inside the wreath. All the scratches blend nicely into the natural toning and are not distracting to the unaided eye. MDS with a clearly defined rim cud break at star 5 and another smaller one over star 6. Our grade is EF40 sharpness net VF25.
Estimated Value $700-UP.

Realized $705
