Lot 240

1816 N-1 R4 VG10. Sharpness VF20 but covered with very fine corrosion and verdigris. The fields on both sides have been lightly abraded to remove the roughness leaving fine hairlines in those areas. Slightly glossy dark chocolate brown and olive with lighter steel brown and chocolate toning on the devices. Looks better than it might sound. M-LDS with a rim cud from star 8 to star 11 and a die crack through the top of NITED to the dentils near the adjacent S.
Estimated Value $100-UP.
