Lot 235

1813 S-293 R2 Turban Head. PCGS graded AU-55. Very attractive frosty medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal. Just a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices from mint state. The only notable marks, and they are trivial, are a tiny pinprick over the left top of the 8 and another close above the D in UNITED. Sharply struck MDS. Our grade is AU50 Choice. PCGS population 1; 2 finer in AU58 for the variety. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label (PCGS # 36514) .
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
Ex Heritage-William R. Eckberg.
