1808 S-277 R2 Turban Head VF30. Sharpness EF45 or a bit better but the obverse is covered with microscopic roughness mixed with numerous tiny hairline scratches. The only other marks are a very shallow pit on the end of the hair ribbon, another on the rim outside the dentils above the head, and a few more on the rim over MERIC. Lightly cleaned and retoned frosty dark steel with lustrous lighter brown toning in protected areas. MDS Breen state V. Star #1 is weak but still visible and the die cracks through the D in UNITED are strong.
