1907. High Relief, Roman Numerals, Flat Rim. PCGS graded MS-62. CAC Approved. A very choice example with unusually clean surfaces on both sides. A few scattered faint marks appear about the rims but far more appealing than one would expect for this historic and highly collectible issue. The Flat Rim style is much scarcer than the Wire Rim design. The High relief, Roman numerals double eagles have long been regarded as our most beautiful coin ever struck for circulation. Most were saved from the time they were released, but careless handling has certainly diminished their numbers. A highly collectible and attractive example of this coveted issue (PCGS # 9136) .
