1795 S-76b R1 Plain Edge PCGS Genuine, XF Details, Altered Surfaces. Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate. The only defects, and they are trivial, are a faint spot of reddish brown verdigris in the field over the bust tip and a few barely visible rim bruises on the reverse. A careful examination of both sides using a strong glass reveals no trace of the "Altered Surface" mentioned by PCGS. This is a nice cent. MDS with minor swelling in the field before the portrait. Our grade is VF25.
