1883-S. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely golden toning with greenish-gold iridescence on both sides and quite satiny. A scarcer date than many other San Francisco half eagles of this decade, and quite impressive quality overall. Unsurpassed in terms of grade at PCGS, and worthy of a high end date or type collection. Only 83,200 struck. Pop 3; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 8363) .
