1874-S. PCGS graded AU-55. Mostly untoned with classic and rich orange-gold surfaces. There are minor scattered marks on both sides from brief circulation, but they are not distracting to the eye. A rarity in all grades, and this is one of the finer examples certified by PCGS. Most of those known today are in far lower grades than this elegant specimen. Only 16,000 struck. Pop 7; 1 finer in 58. (PCGS # 8335) .
