1881. NGC graded Proof 66 Ultra Cameo. Only 51 minted. A Gem Ultra Cameo Proof that offers rich copper-gold hues, bold mirror fields and glorious frost on the devices. This proof finish is so dramatic on these ultra cameo pieces that one has to consider them to be the most beautiful of these early proof gold rarities. While proof gold coinage is also beautiful, its the dramatic effect of the depth of the mirror fields that stands so tall when contrasted against the frosted devices.
