1846-O. PCGS graded MS-61 PQ. A gorgeous toned example that offers considerable mint frost on the devices and generally clean surfaces for the grade level. The sunset golden coloration mesmerizes the viewer. A scarce early New Orleans Mint $2.50 that is a condition rarity when found this well preserved. Only 62,000 struck. This coin has the look of a MS62 and truly warrants a premium bid for the technical quality as well as the lovely eye appeal. A fantastic addition to any New Orleans Mint and quarter eagle collection Pop 10; 5 finer, 3 in 62, 1 in 63, 1 in 64. (PCGS # 7743) .
