1855-O. PCGS graded MS-62. Only 55,000 struck. This is a scarce issue and one that is further enhanced as it is the rare Type II style gold dollar with the wider but thinner planchet than seen on the Type I gold dollar style. Mint state coins are highly prized for their rarity of this type, and here is one from New Orleans that will suit any advanced specialist of this challenging series.
