Lot 1430

1875-CC. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice old time toning. A rare Carson City issue to find this well preserved and this issue is virtually unobtainable any finer than offered here. Dusky gray-gold on both sides, and with smooth and attractive surfaces. Most of these were exported to the Orient where they were intended (and did) circulate. While some of these Trade dollars remained in the United States, most entered circulation unnoticed, hence the minimal populations of well preserved coins today. Here is one that has been treasured since it was first acquired 140 years ago. Pop 27; 2 finer, 1 in 64+, 1 in 66. (PCGS # 7038) .
Estimated Value $7,000 - 7,500.

Realized $7,931
