Lot 129

1825 C-1 R3 PCGS graded AU55. Attractive glossy light chocolate brown fading to medium chocolate in protected areas. The only marks, and they are trivial, are a few ticks on the rim including a tiny rim bruise at star 11. LDS Manley state 3.0. A vertical die crack reaches from the dentils over the head down to the curl on the neck. In addition the reverse is rotated 165 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot die orientation. A nice half cent, close to EF45. Our grade is EF40+, close to EF45. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
Ex Joe Flynn 9/16/1977 (the Flynn sales ticket is included).
